One of the highlights of the desert safari in Dubai is the performance by an exotic belly dancer sometimes called Raqs Baladi which translates as “country dance”. Women wear colourful costumes to bring out the best display of their performances at the centre stage during the desert safari camps. This dance form was traditional passed on from mother to daughter and was practiced to ease childbirth. But later, belly dancing as attractive as it seems started to gather huge crowds. It is now one of the famous dance forms in the world and also part of your Dubai desert safari tour by One World.

Watch the beautiful imagery created by the swirling colorful skirts and accessories of the Tanoura dancers. The highlight of this dance form is the ancient spin that the performers undergo during most of the duration. They stop spinning at the end of the performance apparently showing no signs of dizziness or discomfort. The Tanoura beat is religious in nature and the performers are said to enter a trance-like state during the performance, being one with God. This Egyptian folk dance is exclusively performed at One World’s desert camps. |

Get ready to hold your breath before the fire dancers juggling torches during your Dubai desert safari.
Fire dancing or fire twirling is the manipulation of objects on fire. There is rhythmic beat to follow during this performance unlike the other fire performances. These dances are used for healing purposes, story telling, theatrics and for sacred purposes as well.
Fire dancing doesn’t need to be performed to be experienced. This art form can be powerful even when it is viewed as a spectator. Join One World Travel & Tourism for a fire twirling night exclusively at our desert safari camps in Dubai.
